About Me
My Name is Ashley Karen Beecher. I live in Philadelphia, PA with my cameras, two dogs and indoor garden (a.k.a. my kitchen counter). I enjoy working in film and television production.
I am a New Yorker, born and raised, so I guess it's no surprise I moved to South Florida. I earned a Bachelor of Arts in Communications/Motion Pictures and a Bachelor of Science in Creative Writing from the University of Miami in 2006.
Since then I’ve worked every stage of production, from the birth of the idea to the first screening.
I am most interested in using video and web promotion to support the following causes: musicians (specifically unsigned), literacy for the masses, LGBT rights, community and urban gardens, and generally shedding light on anyone whose actually doing good for this world.

I was Associate Producer of this talk show for a healthy living website. Everyday people, picked from the streets of South Beach, sat down with Dr. Marylin Volker, sex theripist, to talk about happy healthy relationships.
This is a Capsule Media project.

I was archivist of this inquisitive and informing exploration of music technology. From the phonograph to the iPod, this series is a study of the relationship between the ability to record sound and the American identity.
